SUNSHINE TOUR


The Sunshine Tour, located in a beautiful location off the Cadiz coast in southern Spain, is the perfect way to kick off your show jumping year. The facilities are modern and large, and the location is beautiful. It’s just what you need to prepare young horses for the rest of the season! With 21 sand and grass arenas, 2400 boxes, restaurants, hectares of countryside to walk in, an equine Spa, meadows for horses to graze in ... it’s got all that you and your horse could possibly need and more! The Sunshine Tour is a key partner for Horseware Ireland as it allows us to get out onto the European show jumping circuit early in the year and support our Hero Riders as they launch into another busy season.

Each year, the world’s best head to Spruce Meadows to compete in one of the most distinguished Grand Prix in the world, the $3,000,000 CP International Grand Prix presented by Rolex. DUBLIN HORSE SHOW


Since it was first held in 1864 the Dublin Horse Show has become a Dublin institution. A celebration of Ireland's affinity with the horse, from the best show horses to the best international show jumpers. It is one of Ireland's largest sporting events, a highlight of the summer, each year welcoming tens of thousands of people from Ireland and all over the world. Throughout the five days the extensive RDS grounds are taken over by some of the best horses from around the world who are always ready to perform to the highest level and entertain the ever-enthusiastic spectators. It is, after all, considered one of the top global equestrian events and all in the heart of Dublin city. The Show is the pinnacle event for the Irish sport horse industry and a major draw for international equestrian competitors. The Show boasts one of the largest prize funds of any international equestrian event of over €1.2 million. Every year as part of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Series, the RDS awards the fabled Aga Khan Trophy, which was first presented in 1926. The Dublin Horse Show is a key partner for Horseware Ireland as it showcases the best in class of Irish bred and trained horses and demonstrates the passion and dedication to the sport which we share at the heart of our own brand.

FALSTERBO


Falsterbo has hosted equestrian games since 1920 and in 1969 the first Swedish Derby was organized in show jumping, which became the beginning of what we today know as the Falsterbo Horse Show. Eversince, the event has just grown bigger and bigger with new stands and facilities shaping the incredible event that is now is – one of the most renowned outdoor showgrounds in the world. Falsterbo Horse Show presented by Longines plays an important role as the biggest horse sports event in Sweden, as well as the largest outdoor sports event in the country. It is a great chance for Swedish horses and riders to compete on an international level at home. Additionally, it offers the opportunity for everyone with a passion for horses and equestrian events to see competitions at an international world-class level, meet the star rider they follow, and enjoy the proximity to the sport. Falsterbo Horse Show is a key partner for Horseware Ireland as it provides a platform for international talent to assemble in a picturesque, historical location with top facilities and where a love of horses is truly at the heart of the event.

WINTER EQUESTRIAN FESTIVAL


Not only is the Winter Equestrian Festival one of the largest annual sporting events in The Palm Beaches, but it’s also the longest-running equestrian event in the world running over 12 weeks between January to April in Wellington, Florida. It attracts national and international athletes competing for prizes, readying for the Olympics, or beginning careers in equestrian. Wellington International is an equestrian venue known throughout the world. The Centre encompasses a total of 500 acres and the competition arenas alone cover 80 acres. In all there are 18 arenas, and the main International Arena is surrounded by stadium and box seating as well as hospitality pavilions. The main grounds house more than 250 permanent equine stalls, horse trails, pedestrian paths, golf cart tracks, and dedicated shopping areas. The Winter Equestrian Festival is a key partner for Horseware Ireland as it brings together world class talent performing to the highest level in the sport and is an undisputed platform which sets the pace in success for the year ahead.

KENTUCKY


The Kentucky 3-Day Event is an eventing competition held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky in the United States of America. The first horse trials were held at the Kentucky Horse Park in 1976 and they acted as a preparation event for the 1978 World Championships with the success of both events ensuring the 3-Day Event was made an annual occurrence. It is a 5-star event which is the highest level of competition in the sport.

Newcomers


Niamh McEvoy


The ambitious 19 year old, Niamh McEvoy from Omagh, joined the Horseware Newcomer team in 2023. Not only has Niamh an impressive record of medals from her Pony and Junior career but managed to secure a Gold medal with the Irish Young rider team at the Youth European Championships this summer. At the beginning of this year, Niamh joined Ballypatrick Stables and is part of the educational program of the Young Riders Academy for 2023. Niamh`s idol is no other than Horseware Hero rider Laura Kraut and we are sure she has a bright career ahead of her!

Max Wachman


A gold medal winner with the Irish Young rider team at the Europeans in Italy this year, Max and his younger brother Tom are located at the incredible facility Karlswood of Horseware Hero rider Cian O`Connor. Under Cian`s guidance and training program, Max has started to make his name on the international 5* circuit and has already proven his talent on multiple Nations Cup appearances, like in 2022 when the Irish team won the Aga Khan in front of their home crowd at the Dublin Horse Show. Since earlier this year Max took over the rains of one of the most well known Irish sport horses, Kilkenny, who along with Max are proving to be an amazing combination who are climbing the ranks very quickly. Max is very humble about his accomplishments and ability to partner successfully with world class horses and he is extremely focused on dedicating his time and efforts into being the best athlete that he can be.

Tom Wachman


Born into a horse family, Tom`s interest for horses was no surprise. After having a successful Pony career, Tom won a team gold medal with the Irish Junior team at the European Championships this year and an individual silver medal. This year the 18 years old stepped up to international 5* level and has competed in his first Senior Nations Cups for Team Ireland, and we are sure to see more of Tom in these rings more often in the future! Like his older brother Max, Tom trains with Horseware Hero rider Cian O`Connor in Karlswood and Cian describes Tom as “having something different” and sees huge potential for him to make his ambitious dreams come true.
