What are the terms and conditions of the Turnout Guarantee?

The terms and conditions of the guarantee are as follows:

The guarantee card must be completed and returned within 90 days of purchase or registered online at www.horseware.com/turnoutguarantee within 90 days of purchase date.
The guarantee card must be dated, signed and stamped by the retail outlet from which the turnout was purchased, and the unique ID number of your Rambo® Turnout | Rhino® Turnout included on the form to be eligible for the guarantee.
If you purchased your turnout from a mail order company, please attach a copy of the dated receipt to the guarantee card or upload a photo of the receipt while registering online at www.horseware.com/turnoutguarantee.
The receipt MUST give details of the Rambo® Turnout | Rhino® Turnout purchased.
If you do not register the turnout within 90 days of purchase the warranty is still valid from the date of purchase (effective for all turnouts bought from August 2018) however proof of purchase will be required in the event of warranty submission.

What does the Turnout Guarantee Cover?

A Horseware® guarantee covers the repair or replacement (at Horseware’s discretion) of your Rambo® and Rhino® Turnouts* and hoods, if there are defects related to waterproofness, breathability, and hardware within the guarantee period.

Your guarantee covers your turnout’s waterproofness, breathability, and hardware for 3-years from the date of purchase.

Your statutory rights as a consumer, such as the right to demand certain remedies free of charge from the seller of the goods in case of lack of conformity, are not affected by this guarantee.

What is not covered by the Turnout Guarantee?

Rambo® and Rhino® Turnouts are engineered for continual high performance in normal settings. If they are used in the way intended and it incurs a defect on waterproofness, breathability, or hardware within the guarantee period, it's our responsibility to repair or replace it.

There are, however, some circumstances in which the Turnout guarantee doesn't cover the repair or replacement of a turnout. These aren't hidden in the small print.

Here's what isn't covered:

It does not cover damage from external forces on the turnout, nor damage from undue strain placed on the fabric or closures.
Your guarantee is void if the turnout has been repaired in any way or has been washed incorrectly.
Any replacement turnouts received during the guarantee period of your initial turnout are only guaranteed from the date of purchase of the initial turnout for 3 years.
If the issue is from wear and tear or undue strain the issue is not covered by your warranty.
Your Rambo® and Rhino® Turnouts must be washed according to the instructions below, failure to do so will damage the waterproof coating of your Turnout and this will be easily detected in subsequent tests.
Reproofing your Rambo® or Rhino® turnout in its first 3 years of use will invalidate your warranty.
The turnout must also be stored correctly and protected from prolonged UV exposure, and extreme temperatures, during storage.
Some turnouts are not included in the Turnout Guarantee. Please reference the full list of qualifying turnouts as some exclusions apply.

How to claim under the Turnout Guarantee?

Contact our customer service team to arrange to return the turnout for testing.

The turnout must be washed as per instructions below and dried thoroughly and packed well before returning to Horseware® for thorough testing. Dirty turnouts will not be tested and therefore returned to the customer.

If the turnout is deemed defective Horseware® Ireland will replace the turnout with the same style of turnout. If this is not available, Horseware® will replace the turnout with a similar style.

If the turnout is bought at a discount, you will receive a turnout of equal value to what was paid for the original purchase, or, if the turnout is bought as discontinued from the retailer, it is no longer covered under warranty.

If the turnout passes the testing process and is not deemed defective, it will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.

Washing instructions for your Horseware® Ireland Turnout

Horseware® advises professional cleaning of your turnout by a launderette that facilitates and is proficient in the washing of horse rugs (following the guidelines below).

To wash your turnout yourself, you should first gently brush off any excess dirt and mud from the outside. Once dry, gently hose off your turnout, and use a wash that is specifically formulated to clean horse turnouts without damaging the fabric or waterproof coatings, preferably a natural or non-biological substance. Strong or biological detergents can cause damage to the waterproof coating.

We do not recommend washing your turnout with a power washer, as the pressure from the washer can possibly damage the waterproof layer on the turnout. Washing should be done on a Cool Wash not to exceed 30 degrees Celsius.

Once your turnout is thoroughly washed hang to drip dry, fold neatly into a breathable storage bag. DO NOT Dry Clean. DO NOT Tumble dry with heat. Store in a cool, dry area away from any moisture or damp areas, while also avoiding excessive heat. The bags our Horseware® Turnouts are packaged in are a perfect bag to re-use for turnout storage.

Important Notice:

At certain times of the year, particularly in early autumn and late spring, when the weather is changeable, it may appear that the turnout is leaking when in fact it is a build-up of perspiration inside the turnout. To avoid this, it is important to monitor the weather and your horse for the first few weeks of turnout use, and at the end of the season when the weather can turn suddenly warm, until the horse becomes acclimatized to the extra warmth of their Rambo® Turnout | Rhino® Turnout. Animal abuse is not condoned in any way by Horseware® Products Ltd. and every care must be taken by the horse owner to ensure the animal is not in any distress when using the turnouts through overheating. We encourage all owners to seek help from a knowledgeable person, such as a trainer or veterinarian, to help them establish the best turnout weight for their animal.
