Get ready for the equestrian event of the summer! From August 6th to 10th, 2025, the RDS Dublin Horse Show returns to Ballsbridge, Dublin, celebrating an incredible 150 years of showcasing the very best in Irish and international equestrian sport.

As proud supporters of Irish equestrianism, Horseware Ireland is honoured to be part of this historic occasion. We’re also celebrating our own milestone, 40 years of innovation, commitment, and deep-rooted passion for horses and riders. Like the RDS, we’re steeped in equestrian history and share a lasting love for the industry that continues to inspire everything we do.

Whether you're a lifelong horse enthusiast, a curious first-timer, or simply looking for a fun and memorable family day out in Dublin, this year’s show promises something truly special for everyone.

Over five jam-packed days, spectators can enjoy a dazzling variety of events from the elegance of side-saddle classes and the thrill of international show jumping and eventing, to the charm of stallion parades, broodmare and foal in-hand classes, and the exciting Three-Year-Old Loose Performance showcases.

There’s plenty to delight younger visitors and future equestrians too. Families can look forward to Junior and Young Rider Event Horse classes, working hunter ponies, and the timeless tradition of carriage driving and display vehicle exhibitions. Adding a touch of fun and whimsy are the ever-popular donkey exhibition and the energetic Pony Club musical ride, sure to be a hit with kids and grown-ups alike.

The atmosphere will be electric as the iconic red wall returns to the Main Arena. In 2024, Irish fans had plenty to celebrate when Mikey Pender aboard Hearton du Bois Halleux and Britain’s Joseph Trunkfield with Cruze shared victory in a thrilling Defender Puissance. Both riders made it to the fifth round, clearing a massive 2.20m (7ft 2in) wall to split the €30,000 prize.

With the bar set high — literally — all eyes are on 2025. Who will conquer the wall this year?

Rolex Grand Prix of Ireland

Main Arena | Sunday, August 10th at 3pm

This elite CSIO5* competition is the jewel in the crown of the show. With a €500,000 prize fund, the Rolex Grand Prix draws the world’s top riders. Will 2024 champion Martin Fuchs of Switzerland return aboard Conner Jei to defend his title? Or could Ireland’s Mark McAuley on GRS Lady Amaro clinch a long-awaited win after narrowly missing out last year?

Working Hunter Classes

These prestigious competitions test both the horse’s ability and the rider’s skill in navigating a series of obstacles that simulate real-world conditions. The Working Hunter classes are a showcase of agility, precision, and partnership between horse and rider.

Showing & Breed Classes

The breed-specific classes at the Dublin Horse Show are a fantastic opportunity to see some of the most stunning horses in the world, from the elegant Irish Draughts to the versatile Connemara Ponies. These classes celebrate the beauty, conformation, and movement of horses, offering a true spectacle of equine grace.

Pony & Junior Events

The Dublin Horse Show isn’t just for the pros! The Pony and Junior Rider competitions offer young competitors the chance to shine. It’s inspiring to see the next generation of equestrians showcasing their talents in these fast-paced events. There’s a real sense of excitement as the future stars of the sport step into the ring.

Horseware Ireland Hero Riders

We’re also thrilled to support our Horseware Ireland Hero Riders as they take to the arena throughout the weekend. Keep an eye out for world-class performances from Cian O’Connor, Steve Guerdat, Mikey Pender, Niamh McEvoy, Tom Wachman, and Max Wachman. Whether they're competing in the prestigious Aga Khan Nations Cup, thrilling the crowds in the Puissance, or representing at the National Classes, these talented athletes embody the spirit and excellence of the sport.

Family Fun & Entertainment

Beyond the equestrian events, the Dublin Horse Show has plenty of family-friendly activities. The Family Area, located behind the Grandstand on the RDS Church grounds, promises adventure and creativity for children of all ages. From face painters and balloon artists to roaming circus performers, there’s plenty to explore.

For the thrill-seekers, test your courage on the climbing wall, meet animals at the Nore Valley Park mobile farm, or hop into the driver’s seat with the Mini Defender Driving Experience.
