A Horseware® Turnout Guarantee covers the repair or replacement of your Rambo® and Rhino® Turnouts* (rugs and hoods) if there are defects related to waterproofness, breathability, and hardware within the guarantee period.  Repair and/or replacement will be at Horseware® Ireland's discretion.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this turnout guarantee.

Duration

Rhino® Turnout Guarantee is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase on any qualifying Rhino® turnout, rug or hood.

Rambo® Turnout Guarantee is valid for 10 years from the date of purchase on any qualifying Rambo® turnout, rug or hood.

To make a claim under this guarantee, please complete the claim form found at Horseware.com/turnoutguarantee.

Please note that proof of purchase, the unique item ID, and a description and images of the issue will be required to complete the form. The form will provide instructions on how to find the unique item ID on your turnout. To ensure eligibility and to avoid loss of proof of purchase, we suggest registering your product at horseware.com/turnoutguarantee within 90 days of purchase. 

In the event of a claim, the turnout may be required to be returned to Horseware® Ireland for testing. The turnout must be washed as per instructions below and dried thoroughly and properly packed before returning to Horseware® Ireland for thorough testing. Dirty turnouts will not be tested and will be returned to the customer.  If the turnout is deemed defective within the guarantee period, Horseware® Ireland will replace the turnout with the same size and style of turnout. If this is not available, Horseware® Ireland will replace the turnout with a similar style.  If the turnout was purchased at a discount, you will receive a turnout of equal value to what was paid for the original purchase, or, if the turnout was purchased as discontinued from the retailer, it is no longer covered under the guarantee.  If the turnout passes the testing process and is not deemed defective, it will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.

Exclusions

Rambo® & Rhino® turnouts and hoods are engineered for continual high performance in normal settings. If they are used in the way intended and a defect on waterproofness, breathability, or hardware arises within the guarantee period, it is our responsibility to repair or replace it.

There are, however, some circumstances in which the guarantee does not cover the repair or replacement of a turnout or hood. These are not hidden in the small print.

Here's what is not covered under this turnout guarantee:

Damage caused by external forces on the turnout and damage from undue strain placed on the turnout or hood, its fabric or closures.
Damage caused by alterations, modifications or repairs carried out by anyone other than Horseware® Ireland (in which case your guarantee and associated Product Warranty will be void).
Rambo® or Rhino® turnouts or hoods which have been reproofed within the guarantee period (in which case your guarantee and associated Product Warranty will be void).
Damage caused by improper care or cleaning. Your Rambo® and Rhino® Turnouts and hoods must be washed according to the instructions below. Failure to do so will damage the waterproof coating of your turnout and invalidate the guarantee.
Improper or unsuitable storage and/or failure to protect the turnout and hood from prolonged UV exposure or extreme temperatures.
Excessive wear and tear.
Any replacement turnouts or hoods received during the guarantee period of your purchase are only guaranteed from the date of purchase of the initial turnout or hood. 
Some turnouts and hoods are not included in the Turnout Guarantee*. Please reference below as some exclusions apply.

This guarantee operates separately from Horseware® Ireland’s Product Warranty and does not affect your statutory rights.

Washing & Care for your Horseware® Ireland Turnout

Horseware® Ireland advises professional cleaning of your turnout by a launderette that is proficient in the washing of horse blankets (following the guidelines below). 

To wash your turnout yourself, you should first gently brush off any excess dirt and mud from the outside. Once dry, gently hose off your turnout, and use a wash that is specifically formulated to clean horse turnouts without damaging the fabric or waterproof coatings, preferably a natural or non-biological substance. Strong or biological detergents can cause damage to the waterproof coating.

We do not recommend washing your turnout with a power washer, as the pressure from the washer can possibly damage the waterproof layer on the turnout. Washing should be done on a cool wash not to exceed 30 degrees.

Once your turnout is thoroughly washed, hang to drip dry and once fully dry, fold neatly into a breathable storage bag. DO NOT dry clean. DO NOT tumble dry. Store in a cool, dry area away from any moisture or damp areas, while also avoiding excessive heat. The original packaging of our Horseware® turnouts makes the perfect reusable bag for storing your turnout gear.

Important Notice

At certain times of the year, particularly in early autumn and late spring, when the weather is changeable, it may appear that the turnout is leaking when in fact it is a build-up of perspiration inside the turnout. To avoid this, it is important to monitor the weather and your horse for the first few weeks of turnout use, and at the end of the season when the weather can turn suddenly warm, until the horse becomes acclimatized to the extra warmth of their Rambo® Turnout | Rhino® Turnout. Animal abuse is not condoned in any way by Horseware® Products Ltd. and every care must be taken by the horse owner to ensure the animal is not in any distress when using the turnouts through overheating. We encourage all owners to seek help from a knowledgeable person, such as a trainer or veterinarian, to help them establish the best turnout weight for their animal.

* This Horseware® Turnout Guarantee applies to the following products for purchases made on or after 1st January 2024:

Rhino® turnouts and hoods for a period of three (3) years.

Rambo® turnouts & hoods for a period of ten (10) years (excluding the Rambo® Summer Series & Rambo® Autumn Series).

Previously purchased, qualifying Rambo® turnouts and hoods will retain their three (3) year turnout guarantee on waterproofness and breathability.
