Job Description


Reporting to: Strategic Marketing Manager

Role:

One of the equestrian industry’s best-known consumer brands are seeking an experienced web developer to join their team. This is an exciting time to join this internationally renowned, award-winning, global brand leader.

We are looking for an experienced Front End Web Developer to manage and develop a suite of websites based at their head office in Dundalk.

Working closely with the Head Office and US team, you will be responsible for the development, delivery and implementation of best in class digital programmes and website updates that will successfully increase sales and profitability of our products, our brands and drive sustainable, recurring multi-year growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build websites according to the brief supplied by the marketing team and US account team and approved by the Strategic Marketing Manager.
  • Manage the seasonal overhaul of our external facing brochure sites.
  • Edit images as required to the specific sizes including cropping and photoshopping images.
  • Manage the activity of our direct-to-customer sites and ensuring that all websites have a user-friendly design.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and security assessment of all websites including performing regular file backups to local directories for recovery.
  • Manage the updates relating to our online ordering system.
  • Updating of websites to ensure all external and internal linking are correct.
  • Responsible for cross-browser compatibility and ensuring all websites are responsive in all browser types.
  • Formulate reports and analyse data to circulate regularly to relevant stakeholders e.g. e-Commerce, Google Analytic, Dotdigital Campaigns reports
  • Create and design emails and online marketing campaigns using Dotdigital tools and manage the database contacts and address books.
  • Test website functionality on multiple browsers for potential bugs, verifying performance of the website and testing website into different devices and screen size.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams, collaborate with colleagues and suggest new ideas to improve existing websites.
  • Add SEO Title, Meta description and Focus Keyword to pages/products pages to ensure all sites are optimized.
  • Working closely with the App Developer on large scale projects such as the internal Online Learning Management system, Horseware Academy.
  • Create ad hoc event pages for competitions, sweepstakes etc as required by the Sponsorship Manager.


Knowledge & Skills
:

  • Experience designing wireframes/mock-ups for websites, banners and email marketing
  • Knowledge of web-standards and ability to code HTML, CSS, Java Script, PHP, CMS. (Critical)
  • Experience developing clean, visually engaging, goal-driven websites.
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience using CMS systems such as WordPress (Critical)
  • Exert knowledge of security principles and GDPR best practice.
  • Experience of CRM solutions and Database Management. Best practices incorporation of the data to database, experience using phpMyAdmin
  • Familiar with JavaScript library’s and jQuery
  • Experience with eCommerce applications, payments system and WooCommerce Plugin
  • Familiar with Portal Azure – Microsoft


Requirements
:

  • 3 + years’ experience developing websites
  • Relevant Web Development/Design qualification.
  • Creative, self-motivated team player committed to great communication.
  • Positive, open, can do attitude and demeanour.
