New Senior Appointments to Fuel International Growth
Horseware Ireland, the leading global equestrian brand, has announced three key senior appointments which will further enhance the brand’s innovation, supply chain and commercial capabilities in line with continuing international growth plans.
Courtney Evors has been appointed Innovation Director, James Gilbert takes on the role of Supply Chain Director and Colby Connell has been appointed General Manager of Horseware Ireland’s operations in North America, pictured with our CEO, Mark Saunders.
The three new executives bring decades of experience from the equestrian, sports, wellness and consumer industries, supporting Horseware Ireland’s commitment to bringing the most innovative products and services to the equestrian community worldwide.

Innovation Director, Courtney Evors brings over 20 years of sports fashion and apparel design experience to Horseware Ireland. After qualifying in Fashion Design from Syracuse University (New York, USA), she developed her career through a range of high-profile agency and brand opportunities, leading to her joining Adidas in 2008 for over a decade. There, she progressed from the role of Senior Designer to Design Director, based at first in the USA, then in Europe. Most recently, she worked with sports and leisure brand Gym+Coffee as Head of Product and Design.
As General Manager, North America, Colby Connell is a highly accomplished commercial executive with extensive experience and connections in the US equestrian industry and the broader sports and wellness sector. In her career to date, she has served as Vice-President of Marketing with equine equipment and supplements firm Smartpak Equine, wellness platform Spartan Race, and also served as Chief Marketing Officer for US Equestrian, the governing body for elite equestrian sport in America. In recent years she was Chief Revenue Officer for America’s largest professional supplements provider, Emerson Ecologics. Prior to joining Horseware Ireland she was Chief Revenue Officer of an athletics biosensor diagnostics start-up, Nix Biosensors which emerged from Harvard Innovation Lab. Colby is a Biology graduate of Bates College (Maine, USA) and also studied consumer focused marketing at Northwestern University (Chicago, USA).
James Gilbert, Supply Chain Director, is an international supply chain expert who joins Horseware Ireland from Kellogg’s Europe. There, he held senior management positions for over a decade, most recently as Supply Chain Director for Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Prior to this, he served as Director of Supply Chain – Customer Service Transformation at Kellogg’s, among other management roles. In his earlier career, he worked with supply chain management and e-commerce provider ModusLink and was Fleet Controller for the Irish international airline, Aer Lingus. He is an engineering and business studies graduate of Dublin City University.
