As you may know, Horseware® have been proud supporters of Ted the Clydesdale for many years and are delighted to announce the release of his DVD, ‘The Story of Ted’ by Goldeneye Video.
The film is an adaptation of the book with the same name written by Sally Anne Oultram and her daughter Camilla.
This film is a lovely tale containing heartache to begin with, but an end of elation. It is based on a true story, of adventure, courage and friendship.
The story opens with the sale of Ted and his mother at auction. Ted is rescued by Sally and Camilla.. Suddenly, Ted becomes very ill, and is unlikely to survive. After the vet has seen Ted, and given him as much help as he can, the film shows Ted going into deep sleep and dreaming about his future life. He goes to a Safari Park and talks mainly to a wise elephant Raja. Raja tells him about many wild animals and about life in general. All this part of the film was shot at Woburn Safari Park, and it shows several animals talking to Ted.
Ted’s dream continues with a fantasy fishing expedition with his two terrier friends, Dayson and Hewitt. Finally, Ted reaches celebrity status by making appearances at various shows across the country. The end of the film shows Ted coming out of his dream and being alive and well.
Ted, himself, has already made many appearances by invitation, this year, and has many more to complete. In 2006, Ted is already
being booked up for further appearances. |
