The HorseHeaven Amateur Championship was held this year at the Northern Ireland Horse Show. 20 Competitors rode a course of challenging fences culminating in a nail-biting jump off, with seconds in it, which saw last year’s winner retain his title of Amateur Champion.

Congratulations to Martin Wilson, seen here riding his horse ‘Database’ who completed the jump off round in 30.66 seconds beating Jane Kealey on Streeve Diamond by just .7 of a second!

The rest of the show was a resounding success with thousands of people turning out to witness the event with many of the days selling out.

Big Names in the Show jumping world made the trip across the water to experience Irish hospitality; creating a true spectacle for the crowds. The show included performances from the Hickstead Dressage team – Ride to music, The Devils Horsemen – performed a dramatic step back in time with their coliseum racing and movie madness stunt display.

A scurry spectacular and Heelwork to music concluded every evening with the International riders competing over a demanding course of show jumps with all clear rounds going forward to a jump off against the clock.

A fantastic family event with thrills and spills throughout the entire 4 days. HorseHeaven will certainly be returning next year and we hope you will too.
