Unlike the conventional approach where the waterproof coating is applied directly to the outer layer our BARRIER Technology changes the rules.

Simply, we've put the protective barrier on the inside so that even if the outer fabric is damaged, the inner waterproof and breathable barrier remains intact.

Rather than use traditional techniques, we are rethinking how the rug is actually put together to advance the performance of the horse.

Polypropylene is on a strength for weight ratio 50 to 100 percent stronger than the Coated Polyster used in the majority of turnouts. So you have a rug that is light but strong - like aluminium or lithium - the strength to weight ratio is favourable!

Because we do not have to coat directly on to a high denier outer fabric that tends to be rough and uneven we can coat on to a fine smooth barrier fabric. This gives us an even thin layer that is hyper efficient, extremely waterproof and breathable.

This combination creates an ideal micro climate that can be thermalised to generate the desired temperature.
